Dublin Guitar Night  

The Dublin Guitar Night is a new monthly event presenting a range of guitar players across many genres. The last Tuesday of each month will feature four varied guitar acts and a focal point for players, guitar enthusiasts and music lovers alike.

Featuring Sami Moukaddem (contempory Arabic guitar) www.samimoukaddem.com, Vinny Baker Group (bluegrass), David O'Rourke (solo jazz guitar) www.davidorourke.com, Bill Shanley and guests www.billshanley.ie .

Also at 5.15pm- 6.30pm in JJ's and prior to the main event, John Walsh www.johnwalshguitar.ie will conduct a flamenco guitar workshop. (free admission)

MINUANO

Minuano are a 5 piece band of well known Irish musicians who are considered some of the best "guns for hire" in the session market as well as being well respected Artistes in their own right. Brendan Doyle - sax, Cian Boylan - keys, Tom McDermot - drums, Paul Moore - bass and Dave Whyte - guitar.

 They come together to form this quintet to pay homage to 19 time Grammy award winning Jazz Composers guitarist Pat Metheny and keyboardist Lyle Mays, bringing to you some of their beautifully crafted melodies and compositions which have now become part of the modern Jazz vernacular... Metheny’s influences are as diversified as is possible to be... His collaborations include Joni Mitchell, Gary Burton, Toninho Horta, Herbie Hancock, Jaco Pastorius, Chick Corea, Charlie Haden, Brad Mehldau and Ornette Coleman.... a veritable whos who of the Modern Jazz and Folk world. Minuano are thrilled to bring to you an evening of selected compositions from the Pat Metheny Group in JJ’s. Not to be missed…!!!
